Default What is the clicking noise I hear? & Tuning question

I hear a clicking noise on my 05 RKC- It was 12500 miles on it when im riding 30 mph I hear a slight clicking noise in the front of the bike, Any Ideas?

My other question is where is the best place to have a bike checked out if you dont have the skills yourself? Im from North NJ an Im not sure if the stealorship is the best idea, Any ideas? Id like to make sure its tuned correctly

Could be anything. Have you had it since new? Tensioners been checked/changed yet? How many miles on it total? Any other work or stock?

It could be something as simple as some cover that is loose and is rattling. Or it could be something big like engine issues. It's impossible for us to tell without further description. If you think it's something rattling, you can just start grabbing parts and seeing if they rattle then tighten them up. As far as where to go in NJ, can't help you there.

Ahh, ticking as like in drivetrain ticking noise in the rockers, kind of like a sewing machine? May be normal as these bikes do sound like a sewing machine.

If you're riding at a speed where you hear the noise, and you pull in the clutch and cut off the ignition while still moving, do you still hear it? That would narrow down if it's something in the engine or something else. Just do it in a safe and quiet location please!

If you added a windshield and or changed to a 3/4 or half helmet you will hear alot of normal noise.
