I've often wanted to ask someone that has one of these if it helps any noticeable amount. I'm not that cazy about the ones that mount on the outside of the forks.

I run one along with fairing lowers, along with the stock adjustable fairing wind deflectors, and along with JES custom accents fork deflectors.

I bought a used one on eBay last summer for less than $10. They help a noticeable amount. I don't have lowers or fork deflecters.

Work great when combined with fork deflectors... I take off the fork deflectors in summer.

The chrome air deflector is an upgrade.

The stock air deflector is flat black.

I guess if you wanted it glossy, you could paint it.
