Wife learned pretty quickly,grand kids with short legs were the pits. Lid haulers or lid bras work well.

I got the mustang leather lid covers for grandkids. Best deal.

Scratch-X and good wax. And be glad your wife is as passionate about riding with you as you are about riding. Unless its a show bike, just ride and enjoy. It's nothing that can't be fixed.

I put the chrome rails on the saddlebag lids and I don't even have a passenger. I hate them and wished I had not put them on.
