I just ordered the Redline V-Twin package for my Ultra. Did some research and follow some threads on here, PM'd some members. From what I can gather it the consensus is that is the best (opinions vary, of course). So I'll follow this thread. been using standard HD formula plus in the trans and not been satisfied wuith the shift quality, so I'm hoping the Redline gear oil with shockproof will improve that.

I put it in my 2008 Ultra 10 days ago for the first time just got home from a week in Daytona. The 20/60 redline is the best I have ever used. I had more oil pressure, engine ran alot cooler, at idle it would hold 15 psi with the oil temp 190 and the valve train noise was alot better also. i get it from www.compacc.com was the best price I could find. I will never run anything else but this oil in my bike again. I do have an oil cooler. yesterday coming home running around 75-80 my oil temp would barely reach 185 degrees. Give it a try you'll like it

I've been using it for a while after having tried Amsoil, Mobil 1 & Syn3. Valve train noise is definitely quieter with the Redline 20W60. I buy it by the case from F & L Petroleum Products for $92.17 + shipping. Not a bad deal.

redline is very good. It also cools the engine down...the powerpak has all the fluids u need.

Ditto with the temps here. 20/50 Redline in the winter and 20/60 in the summer.

I fully concur! Its what I use and this is where I order it from every time! Zero Complaints (and that funnel they include works sweet!)

I use redline in by Baker tranny and Mobile 1 in the engine and primary. I thought about switching to another brand in the tranny at one time but my mechanic told me once you use Redline, you can't switch back. Guess it's due to fact that it coats everything and would be compatable with another oil. On the bright side, it's and excellent oil.

thanks for posting...I miss the oil threads that come back every spring....yes...put the thickest oil your weather zone will allow....even thicker if you garage keep your bike and never get to the low temp marks.

The only problem with the powerpak is they only give you 1qt of primary fluid which is 32oz when you need 38oz.
