I could not take it any longer and finally got the bike out today. Threw that battery back in and fired it up and off I went. What a fantastic feeling after 4 months of no riding! Still sand and some areas of salt dust but most of the roads were good. I only put on 175 miles today. Hopefully I can do about 250 or 300 tomorrow. For those not riding yet, I will take one for you tomorrow.

 

Good on ya. Here in Michigan I'm going on 14 consecutive months of riding, thank heaven for global warming. We've had some good rains here lately, so we're good to go.

Glad you got out, I'm sensing the collective sanity of the midwesterners is improving.

 

Yeah, our first day out today also. See my thread about being careful out there. Skills can get rusty over the winter.

 

Yep, here in SE Michigan, the skies were clear & 77 degrees. A great day for cruising the back roads.

 

Me too! Lst weeks weather was perfect but I hadn't wrapped up my winter mods until today....

 

Man, here in So. Cal, this is practically the first day this winter that we could NOT ride due to rain. We're spoiled! Enjoy the riding brother!!!

1st ride of the year was Jan. 2, I take the 1st off due to crazies. Did about 250 mile today and last weekend about 800. I make no apologizes for living in the south and having a 12 month riding season. I do feel sorry for those with 9 months winter and 3 months poor skiing.

 

I feel for you guys up north. Glad you got out there today. Hope I never have to move back up north.

 

Do it!! I rode to work last week, it was 58 at 6:15 in the morning.....warmed up to 82 for the ride home in the afternoon!
