Default Rainsuits?

What is the best rainsuit for the $$$? I know a Harley one would be great, but are there less expensive/equal quality ones out there? Which ones are they? What do you wear?

Whatever you get make sure they won't melt on your pipes.

Last June I was it at the dealership where I bought my bike new. I was at the parts counter and a guy came in and flopped a bag of rainwear down on the counter and explained to the staff that he just bought that here and he got soaked on his recent trip. I don't know what model rain equipment it was but it was orange and black.

I got the HD high vis. suit. It is black and orange with reflective stripes. Has panel inside thigh area to keep from melting. It is not the cheapest suit you can buy but rode home last year in a hard downpour and was dry as a bone when I arrived. So far this has been the best rain gear I have owned so far.

Well, for what ever it is worth. If you plan to ride in the rain and stay dry I would suggest buying a good quality rain suit. I have had el cheepo rain gear that would do "ok" with normal usage but... if you have to ride very far in a monsoon aint nothing worse than being soaked through and through. Check craigslist or ebay. My buddy just bought a really nice H-D rainsuit from CL that is about $175 at the stealership for $50.00 and it is just like new. Just my 2 cents worth. Happy Trails...

I have the Hi Vis one too and have never gotten wet using it. I have used it 3 days straight in pouring rain and only my feet & hands got wet.

I highly recommend it.
