Dropped bike - 1st time ever - crappy start to day.

I have always wondered, how the heck does a single front FLHX crash bar keep the batwing fairing and the rear saddle bags from being damaged? Everyone who seems to have dropped theirs always comes back with "No damage other than Pride!" How can that be? I'm not anxious to drop mine and find out, but thought I'd ask?

I had a buddy who picked up his bike (Big tough guy and dint want any help)and forgot to put his stand down and over it went on the other side. Live and learn!!... I have NEVER done it and thats my story and im sticking to it!!! (Just cant figure were those scrape marks came from???)........o~`o.......................

Did that not too long ago. Like you, it was the first time after owning many bikes.
Like you, it was while turning (someone here said not to turn in a stop - which I've now learned). Keep it straight when you grab the binders.
