Default Jack lift or table lift

Hello all, this my first post.

Waiting on the arrival of a sweet 2002 road king classic I bought from out in RI. I want to be well set up to take care of her. What is your preference in jack and table lifts? I have room for a table but am not sure I need one. What other specialty tools should I add to the tool box?

Are there any high lift jacks that can lift the bike up closer to that table hight? Seems like a jack lift would be easier to work around as long as it went high enough.

If you have the room for a table lift, that's the better choice. If you still need to get the wheels off the ground, a table jack will slip right in.

I don't have space for a lift, so I got a K&L Supply lift jack. Super stable and sturdy. This is no cheap Sears or Harbor Freight jack, it's much better.

If I had the space though, a lift table would have been my 1st choice.

yes I agree,I have a j&s an I love it,but if I had room I'd have a table, then you'd have a place to lay parts and tools, and you could still sit on a tall stool if desired

There's lots of opinions about that here. Both good options, Just search and read all the posts. I have a craftsmen jack that works well but wouldn't mind a table!

I have a Pitbull jack and it has to be the most stabile jack I have ever worked with. Between that and the J&S jack--either way you can't go wrong. But...if I had the room for a full table lift I would buy one in a second. Every time I get the money I go out to the garage and try to figure out how to make one fit.

Have to agree with the previous posts........If you have the room get the table!

If you are pushing for room, get the jack. I love my pitbull! The bike has been on it 3 months now with no tie downs. This is a sweet jack/lift

There is a reason the shops use lift tables, once you own one you will be spoiled. I've had a Handy lift for a few years now, before that I made do with a Craftsman jack. You won't regret the lift, unless you lack the space or funds. Quality used lifts come around once in a while too.

I have a jack, no room for lift. Wish I had, I'd buy one in a heart beat.
