You don't NEED to take it off, you do need to take the center cover off and remove to bolts so you can lift it up to slide the wire under. A trick is to run a smaller wire under, tape the power wire to it and pull through.
Amp is on the way. Do I need to pull the tank to run the power to the battery?
You don't have to but if you want to do it right you really should pull the tank and run the wire under the tank inside of the plastic track that holds/protects all the wires.
Sweet!!! All your going to hear is those two speakers!!!
LOL, I have to disagree with you, I'll be hooking it up with the fader control controlling the input two each amp so I can balance it out, this isn't my first time doing this kind of work.

I know I know, humor is good. Cut off the RCA and went high level input, now it rocks! Extremly happy!
Glad to hear, I called Rockford Fosgate to ask about the situation, and I won't even repeat the answer I got, the guy I talked to was not the person they should have answering phones in tech support, lol.

I got the same impression from the guy I talked to. Didn't seem like he was interested in helping me, just wanted to make the customer happy and really didn't answer any of my questions with worthwhile answers.
