i agree with grbrown. the corbin i had on my 07 was an awesome seat. but i can't get that seat for my '10 or '12. gotta go with all the funky stitching, etc. i really preferred the smooth look of the older seat. oh well.

Sorry grbrown. But that is funny you said that. I am leaning towards the flame stitching in black and no welts. Of course the wife wants the braided welt that Corbin is showing on their website. I'm just not so sure about it. Does anybody out there have the braided welt?

Wow. I can't believe it. Just as I was going to call Rebecca @ Tri County Harley to order me a new Corbin seat, I checked the for sale board on here one last time. Not 10 minutes earlier, a Corbin Dual Touring for my year bike was posted for sale. I snatched it up as fast as I could type. I love this message board!

Here is the Corbin I have. I can ride all day on this seat but it not for everyone.

I just got the dual touring seat in the tuck and roll pattern with dual heaters as well on my '12 RGU. Corbin can match the padding on the tour pack to the tuck and roll on the seat or they can put any pattern you want including smooth witn no stitching. I say no welts and there is no differnce in sitting on the tuck and roll or the flames, feels no different

I'm having an issue that I'm sorting out with Corbin right now, but bottom line is that you must have a stitch pattern on your seat regardless if it's heated or not.

Apparently the reason is because they are no longer allowed to use the glue they were using to glue the leather to the foam, so they have to use some kind of stitch to attach it.

And to the OP, no welt.

Welts only if you must have them for the look. Otherwise no welts. I personally have dual tour and classic solo with no welts.
