Default Saddlebag guards hit legs

Took the wife for a ride on the new Limited. She loves it except the saddle bag guards are hitting the back of her legs. So what have y'all done to fix this? I looked at the comfort profile rear saddlebag guard kit but I do not think the Nostalgic saddlebag rails will work with them.

Haven't tried to move the floorboard up yet. Would I need to purchase anything for that or are there two mounting positions?

You will have to puechase. My wife had the same problem. I didn't buy the adjustable. Just the ones that raise her feet 1 or 2 inches can't remember. Long story short this worked for her.

you can take them off and use the SG lower bar only to support the bag...

I have a Ultra Classic and i have retractable passenger pegs. You can use the passenger floorboards or the pegs. And you can adjust the pegs to several positions. Check out eGlidegoodies under passenger. they have several different ways to fix that problem.

Adjustable passenger footboard kit: 50768-07. Nice kit. Cost: $280 at Lake Shore HD

Here is the link. They sell parts usually 20% off retail:

http://www.lshd1.com/servlet/Detail?no=793148

This should fix the problem you describe.

I bought some hand grip covers at a rally, then used some pipe insulation, cut it to fit the grip cover, slid it over the pipe and put on the grip cover. My wife has not complained since and it doesnt look bad at all.
