Question

Yes, even tried with the bike running to be sure. Can't find my test light or volt meter to test.

I had to switch the wire on my 2011 RG. Also be sure to leave the hole plugged with the lighter or another plug or some damn crazy kid will put a nickle in and it will fit perfectly in there but you cannot get it out! Been there and done that!

Yup, check your fuses. Mine was wired wrong as well. An easy fix is too just plug the wire for your cigarette lighter into the extra plug-in in your headlight wiring. There is an extra one on all models I believe.

My cigarette lighter doesn't work now. So looks like I popped the fuse. Will have to try to figure out which one it is.

Don't you have an owner's manual??? If not, it's money well spent.

i remember a three on this in 09,seems a bunch of baggers came out of the factory with the lighter wired backwards, the only reason it says not to use for accessories is many adapter plugs will hit the tank at full left turn.

Got one but it doesn't say which fuse is for the cig lighter. Guessing the accessory fuse is popped.

Sounds right, got a flush mount adapter so that shouldn't happen.

I have a power cord that connects to the battery tender plug that charges whatever needs to be charged in my saddlebag. Didn't want all that flapping around in the wind and I don't need a phone when I'm riding. Found it on EBAY, I just went that basic cig port way but there may be one available to go from tender to phone direct.
