Any fad can be taken too far. Look at those stupid lookin 330 rear tires on the bikes. Thank God they went. I think the 23 to 26" front tires that replaced that fad suck (in my book). I have Harley extended bags and am an aggressive cornerer. I have never had a problem dragging the bag. They do come with a metal skid plate on the outside corner. I would think the guys that are havin problems took the fad too far or just weren't payin attention when crossing over curb entries etc.

I like the look of extended bags and 21-23 front Wheel. Everybody has there own opinion and style. I have sinister bags on mine and scrape floorboards before I hit the bags.

Totally agree.

The old guy who lived across the hall from me hated the bike I build back in 1975. Fork was too long, won't be able to turn or stop with no front brakes. He thought it looked ridiculous, and he loved to tell me how I was going to kill myself on it.

They remind me of a dude with his pants about to fall off. It makes me laugh. Kinda goes along with the way to tall ape hangers. Just my 2 cents worth to each his own.

Ruined? Im sure If the people who put stretched bags and fender(myself,BadDad) dont think they ruined their bike.

I love the stretched look. Its a lot better than some cookie cutter bike

If you're not lowered 2" in the back or on air ride it's no problem. The CV style do sit a little higher and I've also seen 2", 4" and 6" extended. So, there are many options out there.

Don't listen to these guys that don't have their own style, never ridden with anything they belittle, probably don't have the money to fix theirs up the way they really want to, becasue they have no idea what they are talking about. They just get on here to talk down on another person's style or liking and then go get on their stock bike which if they went to the dealer and parked in the parking lot and put a dealer plate on it they wouldn't know which one is theirs.

So, if you don't know what you are talking about keep your $.02 to yourselves. If you have firsthand experience and something constructive to say than talk. I don't think he asked if anyone liked big wheels, apes, or stretched anything else. I don't even think he asked if you like the looks of stretched bags.
