Default New Riding boots-need ideas

Heres the criteria -high uo- no socks sticking out-waterproof-easy on and off-good sole on loose gravel areas-(they use gravel in the winter here and it never really ever gets cleaned up in many parking lots-corners etc)- low heel and nice rounded toe for shifting -under $300 ?? Please give me your opinions.

Sidi Canyons, a little over $300, but I like them, they are a motorcycle boot, waterproof and armored.

I agree, Siding boots are top notch. I would take a look at the Sidi "On Road". It is a touch over $300 though ($325).

I use "logger" style boots.

lace up tight or loose, all the way or 1/2 depending on what you like and temps.

most have vibram lug soles

I throw in a thick felt inner sole

they last for 25+ years and going

I slap waterproofing on them a couple times a year gets them supple and me dry

Custom touches: magnets inside the left heel to trigger traffic lights, alarm fob zip tied to top eyelet so i always have it with me on the road

What's comfortable on my foot may not be comfortable on yours....
Chippewa boots with a steel toe and logger soles works best for me....
