Hogwildbagger, goose136 has got it right, I had Martin do them. They look even better in real life, best $80 I ever spent.

Nice! I liked the J & M ones too, but wasn't going to spend what they want for them, now I've got a good option. Thanks!

Well mglax13, I liked your mod so much that I had to copy your idea! I am very happy with the results and now my bike is that much "cooler and brighter"!

I purchased the Alpena 28" (2 X 14") LED Strips from AutoZone in white. The LED's are on one side of the strip and not in the center. I faced the LED's into the speakers to light them up!

Install was super easy as these feature 3M premium tape already attached. All I did was clean the speaker ring inside with alcohol and then went to work. I slowly pulled away the backing tape and made sure I was going straight. I took my time and it all came out fine. I then drilled a small hole in the ring to bring out the wires. I hard wired the 2 strips into the cigarette lighter wiring. I didn't want to go looking for power and ground and it worked out just fine.

LED Strip attached to the inside of the speaker ring:

LED Strip wired and powered up before installing RF Power 6.5" coaxial:

Power and Ground hard wired into cigarette lighter wiring:

All done and all I need next is my gauges!:

Guess that I had better jump on the band wagon for this custom mod as well, local Autozone here I come!

Drinking the HD Forums Kool Aid taste great, but I swear it rots your teeth!

pauly, those are the EXACT LED's I bought from Pep Boys...great find! Speakers look awesome! Let me know if they're too bright at night. I dimmed mine down becasue I was afraid of it being too bright. The face of the speaker cones is also silver, so it reflected the light a lot. Not sure what color your speakers are.
