I wear contacts and a beanie half helmet. Wiley X, HD branded wraps and Maui Jim's all work equally well for me. While on night rides I wear my Browning range glasses with clear lenses. As long as the glasses have the wrap type frame I have had no issues with extreme dry contacts.
WileyX Airborne. I have to have a prescription, so WileyX's have been my riding glasses & general sunglasses since they have removable foam. I got them w/ Drivewear transition lenses.. work real good so far...
I too wear contacts and a half helmet. I wear WileyX and love them! I previously wore Oakley's and HD and the Wiley X are by far superior. My wife has problems with her contacts drying out, but since I gave her the Wiley X, no more issues!
Don't mean to change the subject but I have a stupid question. I would like to go to googles this year but want a pair that will fit over my beanie. The one pair I have, i put on, them my beanie, and all of a sudden fogged up. PITA! Anyone know of a brand that fits well on the face but can wear on the outside of the beanie.
I tried on some Panoptx i bought over the net and sent them right back. I've tried Wiley X about ten years ago and the foam rotted. Right now I have some Oakley Wind Jackets that are awesome.
$9.99 Walgreens cheapos for me. Had Oakleys (which I LOVE and prefer) but I keep losing them so, I just get cheap ones. I do have a pair of Riders Eye Photo-chromatic glasses and they are really nice too. Unfortunately, I don't see them on their website anymore.
Raybans work great. Costco sells them for about 65.00. At night some clear glasses about the same style as the raybans. They are about 20.00. Not to be cheap but riding glasses can get beat up pretty good so why spend tons of money on them. Thanks for listening to the likes of me.
I vote Oakley all day long. Their new Wind Jacket is designed specifically for motorcycles. Super easy to change lenses, comes with clear and grey, detachable eye cup, and detachable head strap. When stripped down they are the same as Split Jackets.
