Default Correct Size 2011 Street Glide Front Tire (Mistake in Owners Manual?)?

Ordering new tires for my 2011 Street Glide and need to know the correct stock sized front tire.

The HD web site lists it as being a 130/80B18.

My 2001 Touring owners manual calls for a 130/70B18.

The bike is in storage, so I can't just go out and look.

Does anyone know the true, correct stock size?

Thanks

P&A catalog list the 130/70-18 as the only 18" for the touring bikes. You may have been lookin at the 17" which is a 130/80-17.

No. I'm getting this number (BW 130/80B18 63H) directly from the HD web site.

So, you're suggesting that BW 130/80B18 63H is, in fact, the correct tires size, as listed on the HD web site?

That's what H-D says. There are a lot of other ways of double-checking this, from looking at the tyre on your bike (which you can't do at present), checking your owner's manual, checking your preferred tyre brand's website, phoning a dealer.

My preferred brand is Avon and their recommended size is 130/70B18 69H and Dunlop recommend the same size D408. Both those contradict Harley's website! I would go with one of those and ignore Harley's website.

I'm surprised about the listing for an 80, that aspect ratio sounds too tall for a 130, I'm thinkin my 2012 came with a 130/70/18. I changed to a 19 front so I can't check either.

it's a typo on the website. if you look at the specs for the road glide custom, which is the same bike, just a different fairing, you'll see the 130/70-18 listed.

per my manual and on my bike:
Dunlop D408F 130/70B18 63H

Some of the confusion may be that:
"All models except FLHRC, FLTRX, FLHX: 130/80B17 65H

Default tire size for 2013 wheel

Hi, I know its a slightly older post but just picked up a pair of new OEM mag 2013 wheels to replace my 09 FLHX wheels that that are normal wire spokes. Wheels are shipping so I don't have them yet and was looking to get a new front tire - rear wheel is same size from my checks so should be OK. My 09 has a 17" front rim and the newer bikes come with an 18" rim which is what I bought.

After purchase I go to my favorite seller - J&P Cylces - and use their tire finder service. I have Metzeler ME880s now on my bike and wanted the same and they list the front Metzeler for the 18 inch wheel as 140/70-18 and not 130 as mentioned here is previous posts. I could never get my head around the metric sizes so does Metzeler do something different resulting in the different size??

Am I good to go with the Metzeler 140/70-18??

Thanks
Mike
