That's awesome, what size drill bit did you used for that? How did you make the template?
It was 1/4 " or 3/8",......so long ago , I can't remember. I just laid out a grid using a ruler. Can't remember exactly,..................but looking at the picture,......seems to be 1/2" betwen the lines.
Must have gridded it out at 1/2", then drilled the holes.
I started by deciding where the speakers would fit,...........then drilled the 4 mounting holes, and worked from there.
hey im looking for someone to install my 6x9 speakers in my bag. do you do side work? i also live in the bay area. plaese email me back at smlvhm@gmail.com. thanks and damn good work
ONTHELO has been MIA since about Thanksgiving..............a shame too, because he was/is very knowledgeable in bike audio !!
These are the secret to a nice install. This was the only part that I didn't do myself. Had a local Las Vegas stereo shop make my spacers. The one that goes inside the shock tower is the tricky one !
anyone ever install their 6x9's ontop of the stock lid??? instead of in the bag.i just got my 6x9 polks and cant decide where to put them.. i also got Polk 6.5in components for the fairing along with a soundstream 520 4channel amp.. i hope it sounds better than my current two RF 5.25 coax w/out and amp..
You get lower bass with the Pioneers !! Haven't seen a 6X9 with a lower frequency rating than the Pioneers. When you're looking for bass that's what catches my eye.
