I have 12.5" Chubby Apes and I love them.
I wouldn't trade for any other. The stock bars gave me lower back pain. With the Apes I no longer have any problems.

I have a RK Classic and I went with the RK High Handlebars. I'm 5'9" tall and they are perfect for me. It really cut down on the reach.

I had FXRP 10.5" bars put on before I rode the bike home. They were ok, but nothing like the 16" Wild Ones I added a couple years later. Higher (18") bars would mean removing the windshield, or having your hands too far back. Sixteen Inches are just right!

I went with the Heritage bars on mine. They're very close to the RK high bars. I like them a lot. No more back/shoulder stress.

Heritage Softail bars. Didn't have to change out the cables either.
