Default WHat should I use to touch up this chip?

I have a small but noticeable chip in the powder coating:

Any suggestions on a color paint to touch up with here? It is not quite gloss but not quite flat either and it has that texture to it...

THx for your suggestions.

I'd try a little "wrinkle black" applied with a q tip or brush.

it usually comes in a spray can, just spray some in a small plastic tub like cottage cheese comes in, dab the liquid in the area.

do your best to get the area dirt/oil free.

pay attention to the directions regarding temperature

I had paint removed in that same area. My solution was to install the HD Chrome cover over the starter...looks nice too!

Ditto, but if you don't care if it matches or not do the same thing with some flat black epoxy paint.

That powder coat looks a little thicker that standard paint prabably due to texture. On my custome I did the following to repair powder coat. ''

GO TO TRU-VALU AND GET A SMALL CAN OF BLACK STOVE HIGH HEAT PAINT. YOU WONT USE MUCH BUT THIS WILL HELP GIVE YOU A MATCH.

USING A FOAM SMALL PAINT BRUSH APPLY A COAT TO THE AFFECTED AREA.

REPEAT UNTIL COVERAGE IS EVEN AND DARK. ALLOW TO SET AND DRY 3 HOURS.

ONCE DRY GET A CAN OF HD WRINKLE BLACK. THIS SHLOULD ALLOW YOU A FAIRLY CLOSE MATCH. BECAUSE OF THE TEXTURE OF THE HIGH HEAT PAINT ONCE IT DRYS , YOU SHOULD THEN MASK OFF AND PROTECT THE REST OF THE SURROUNDING AREA FROM OVER SPRAY.

SPRAY PAINT THE AFFECTED AREA WITH THE WRINKLE BLACK. YOU GET A MUCH MORE EVEN AND BLENDED LOOK WITH SPRAY VERSES TRYING TO BRUSH THE WRINKLE ON.
BE SURE TO ALLOW IT TO DRY OVER NIGHT IN A HEATED AREA.

DONE. THIS WORKED WELL ON MINE. GOOD LUCK...THAT CHIP ON MINE DROVE ME NUT, SO I HOPE THIS WORKS FOR YOU OR AT LEAST HELPS.

Seeing as that is Harley Texture Black used on all engine parts 1995-present, I would use:

TEXTURE BLACK
Used on 1995 and later engine
and transmission applications. Touch up, 98605BF; Touch up pen, 98600BF; aerosol, 98606BF

Yep. I fixed a small chip on my starter with it and you can't tell it's been touched up.

I got the exact same chip. This happens when the stealer powerwash the bike. I just got my bike yesterday and noticed another chip in the same area.
I use black BBQ pit high heat paint to touchup the area. I might change next time to that black bed liner paint for p/u.
