I'm preparing to restore my 72 FLH and I was wondering if there is a retro-fit five speed trans to replace my 72 four speed trans?

Several options out there, S&S, Sputhe, rev tech, probably Baker as well.

 

baker drive train does a 6 into 4

5th gear is a 1:1 just like your 4th gear now

6th is an overdrive dropping you maybe 500 rpm on the highway

ratios will give you less 3rd/4th hunting in the twisties that you may have now
