Mileage on 2012 SG with 103

Bought mine 1 feb, 2012 FLHTK. I have 1713 miles on it now and I tracked every tank for mileage. I averaged 35 mpg. Thats only because I tried to get better mileage the last 2 tanks by staying at < 65 and shifting at 3K. Smooth acceleration. Saw 37.5 MPG on last 2 tanks.
Not counting the last 2 tanks I averaged 33.5 MPG. Country roads running 65-70 with bursts to 85. Shifting around 4-4500K, moderate acceleration. About the same MPG as my 05 Ultra. But I was pushing the 05 a lot harder, I'm still not used to the handling and braking on this new one.

I may not have a 103 but I have an 09 CVO Road Glide 110 engine with 19,000+ miles that has been turned, pipes and nothing else. I regularly get 270 miles out of my tank - that equates to about 45 MPG mainly highway traveling 65 - 75 MPH. I still have enough gas to get me to a station. I don't have any Ocean front land to sell.
I was very surprised at the mileage I get but I'm not complaining or changing anything.

Went for a 250 mile ride today.
Rode it nice and easy. I've been doing some hard acceleration recently because I had finished the 500 mile breakin and wanted to make sure everything was seated and happy.
Anyway - this ride was 2-up, and got around 41mpg. I imagine it will improve some more as the engine fully seats.
So my guess is I'll see 43 like some of the other folks indicated. And I'll be happy with that.

At 700 miles on mine seeing right at 36 mpg. Allot of my riding here around Tulsa area has been in serious head wind. Still bone stock. It has come up from around 31 mpg the first couple tanks. They will loosen up with some miles. I have run min until the light came on. Upon fill up it wouldn't quite take 5 gallons. I am also thinking my guage is a little off since when I fill it up the needle never goes to the full line.

2011 Limited w/22,000 on the clock. Typically I get mid to high 30s but have gotten as high as mid 40s on a few occasions. I would say the biggest differences in mileage between different riders on similar bikes is riding style/conditions/speed.
I'd be pulling over and waiting 10 minutes out of every half hour for those guys that claim 50MPG.

My RKC is my commuter which is 35 miles one way. Going to work I'm in heavy traffic, splitting lanes most of the way. On my way home I'm going 70-75 mph the whole way. I've got about 4k miles so far and I only have V&H Monster Rounds slip ons, no tune, no A/C. I get about 40 mpg and I'm not exactly light on the throttle, nor am I a hot rod.
