I just picked up and installed my lowers today. I'll have to test them out tomorrow. I agree with Glen about the leg thing. I have my pegs high on the crash bar, and that is what I would do on cold days. Question. According to instructions, it says to tighten bottom bolt to 142 ft lbs of torque. Can this be right? Seems awfully hight to me. I was afraid of cracking something or sending the bolt right through the fairing.

Which bolt are you reffering to @ 142 ft. lbs?

I went with the Memphis Shades 7" and it works well. It is a straight windshield. Also have the adjustable fairing vents and they help a bunch.

The bottom bolt that goes through the fairing, then through the clamp on the bottom of crash bar.

Well, I believe I stopped at 125. The top 2 said 70 lbs. Think I stopped at 50.

Close enough. I'm in the house, the instructions are in the garage. Still high!! I know I'm probably of a few lbs with the top #'s but again still seems high.

Make sure you are using in. lbs and NOT ft. lbs. Big difference.
