baker 1.5 oil pan
well finally arrived today, ordered about 10 days ago, they make them a few at at time. very well made, the granite matches perfectly, I'll be putting it on monday,( weather is 75-80 all weekend, gonna ride!!) will let everybody know how the temps go, as well as how hard installation is. (looks pretty easy). it adds at least A QUART of oil to the 110's and 1.5 to the other bikes, (have to keep the 110's a little lower on oil level as they pump oil into the filters) we'll see, stay tuned!!

well I started the install last night. old pan comes out easy, wish I could say the same for the new one going in. real tight fit on the bottom part of the pan (2 piece pan) you can't get the pan in with the rear tire in the bike. directions say to remove rear axle and move tire to rear of fender, wont happen, new pan too big. and found out that one bolt doesn't line up to hole in frame, gotta grind frame just a little to get longer bolt in ( on left side), going to put oil in today to make sure of no leaks before buttoning up, oh yea had to loosen the exhaust pipe from head to move it far enough away to slide the lower in straight. more work than expected thats for sure, and it sits all so close to bottom cross brace. hope I have no problems with touching/rattling . will update soon

ok heres the final report on this product. I really like it, adds 25% more oil and has really affected the temps, I see at least 10 degrees difference. ride was shorter than I wanted to for testing temps but I got a good idea of the lower oil temp. one of the things I did was to CAREFULLY bend the lower crossmember down a little more for a little more clearance (about 3/16 give or take) don't think anything would hit but I felt better. you can use a prybar and a thin piece of wood to flatten the front and back edges of the brace. having a built motor in this bike and now having more oil is a little more peace of mind for me. wasn't the cheapest mod. but in my opinion, if you're spending a lot of money on a build, you might really consider this oil pan. plus if you have your motor out for the build, you can remove and install the pans from the front of the trans without removing the rear tire
