Clutch pull isn't something that is an issue until you get in a stop and go situation. Lazelle st during sturgis will test your mettle and caused me to go with as little pressure as I can. Rush hour on a freeway or anything similar really sucks with a stiff clutch pull. Might not be an issue for some, for others it is. Just sayin.

Thanks again, all. I may give AIM a call. I could install their 84 or 92 w/ stock spring and it should work. BTW, I noticed in their instructions that you have to effectively adjust your clutch before putting the VPC on. Since I just did this before putting the scoot up for the winter, I imagine I could skip this step. Also, I noticed the step about cutting out a gasket. I have the stock cover with the ring style gasket, so this would seem an unneccesary step as well, no? Thanks again for input, advice.

I just installed the 92 and I did not adjust the clutch. I went for a ride and everything seems fine.

There are two types of chaincase cover gaskets, the rubber one and the coated paper one. If you use the rubber one, there is nothing to do. If you use the paper one you have to cut off the center of the gasket, as they describe in the VPC installation pages. Pretty simple.

Make sure that you line up the VPC screw holes. Push the VPC on the clutch so that the bottom part is inside the chaincase enclosure. Torque to specs and you are done. I also used some blue locktite. It never hurts...

If you can find a used one, get it. It is not a wear item. It should last a very long time.
