Default 18 inch burly apes 2001 Road king

I just purchased a 2001 Roak King. I am looking to put apes on it. I need some help with the cable lengths. I would measure myself but have not gotten the bike yet. I am gonna put steel braided cables. What lengths do i need for clutch throttle / idle brake lines and wires.
Thank for any help
John.

I installed 14" on mine using a reference from a guy that put 16" apes on his RK. He went with 72" clutch cable and said it was a little long, so for 18's that may be a good length, as for throttle and idle I went with 48-50" for my 14's so I would use that as a gauge for you, maybe go with 54-60" for your bars. You will need to change the brake line too. The guy I know with 16's went with a 30" brake line, I went with 34 and mine is a little longer than needed (go figure right, lol), so I would say for you maybe 36".

Another suggestion is go to the Magnum Cables website and you can use their reference guide. PLus you may want to go ahead and measure yourself to be sure, I had to order cables twice because I didn't measure and just guessed.

Are you gonna install them yourself?

Not sure how mechanically inclined you are, but if you don't have the service manual, I'd suggest it. Helps out big time.

Was it a tight fit or a little long?
