PPG 922609; includes 922609-1 base coat and, 922609-2 top coat. You then use a clear coat.

You probably couldn't find it because the color name is red hot sunglo--no "w".

Are you trying to purchase the actual Harley paint or just trying to get a match from another supplier? Just curious as I was under the impression that you CANT buy the actual Harley paint. My 2010 StreetGlide with Red Hot Sunglo is at the painter's shop right now for some custom work and road rash repair. The painter does not "like" Harley's paint, saying it is "gooey" and is using PPG. Guarantees me a perfect match. I am a bit nervous.

It is my understanding that Harley uses PPG paint...

I don't Know what painters charge for supplies such as primer, paint, etc., labor repairs, and paint labor, but depending on the part it might be just as cost effective to buy a new factory painted part. Just sayin'...

I didn't really look into finding a painter to fix stuff I road rashed, I just bought new ones. Part of that is that I've never had good luck with repaint items.

I will start off by saying that I am pretty ignorant when it comes to paint. Would this be what I needed to touch up the rock chips I have in my front fender and fairing? I've touched up chips on my cars but I always just bought the bottle at the dealer. I have an '09 red hot sunglo. I figure I am about 3-4 years away from a full paint job and just want to clean up the chips.

The above info I posted was for sprayable product.

HD does sell touch-up kits for their colors. Just ask the parts guy at your local dealer to look-up the part no.
