I was about to sell my Prime Apes on Ebay I was so frustrated trying to get the wires through. I called Chucky at LA Choppers and this is what he told me. 1/8" nylon rope, wrap wires tight with electrical tape, grease the S#@^ out of them and push and pull. I did exactley what he said and I was done in 15 minutes with both sides. I had hours invested in it prior to his help. IT WORKS belive me.

yeah the guys at my indy used some sort of really small string/rope. Like a thicker kite string.

You can tie a small nut to the string and just twist the bars and let gravity pull it through. I'm kinda glad I have an '07 and not TBW.

A really small chain will find the bottom hole in seconds. Attaching the nylon weed trimmer line and pulling it through with the chain will now give you a smooth strong semi ridged line to pull and push as you pull the wires through. To attach the wires in a staggered formation I use several very small narrow strips of duct tape. They tear into very uniformed, strong sticky strips that hold onto the wires like crazy and come off easily.

Default finally got it!

Well....I got it done today and this is how I did it...

I put shrink tube on the control cables and TBW cables. Made sure to leave about 3-4 inches of extra shrink tube on the end to create a tongue to attach a pull wire to.

1) First I used a small plumbers chain to get a pull wire (mig welding wire) through the bars.
2) Hook the welding wire to the tongue of the TBW shrink tube. Fold the tounge a couple of times and use tape to cover up the welding wire so nothing snags. First I ran the TBW wires first up to the point where the green connector is at the first point on the PYO monkey bars. Use silicone spray to lube up bars and shrink tubed wire bundle. TBW housing still hanging 3/4 out of the bar end. This wire runs fairly easily. Push a little than pull a little, push again, pull again....etc..... also pulled another wire pull with the TBW so I had something to pull the control cable.
3) Next I connected the tongue of the control cable shrink tube to the wire pull. This wire assembly required 2 people ( one to push and one to pull). Push the wire in about in inch, lube with silicone, pull an inch, continue repeating this making sure to lube generously all the time and you will be able to get the wires though the bars ~ 1 inch at a time. By pushing and pulling but not pulling to hard I think you keep the wires from snagging on the inside of the bars if there is a bur in the welds.

The left hand side is much easier but I believe this is overall at least a 2 person job to pull the wires.

Now it's time to solder on the extensions and put everything back together!

for those that are commenting on bars that are a "standard" shape... it really doesn't count... unless you're dealing with something with a mitered bend OF OVER 90 DEGREES..you are in a whole other ball game

I just installed a set of Yaffee's 12 inch monkeys in a 2011 street glide and ended up using weed wacker wire for pulling thru on left and right sides. I eliminated the TBW and went with te CVO set up and lubed the **** out I everything. This will be my last install for anyone who buys these even though I have them also. I was smart when I ordered bike had dealer install them. They are the baddest liking bars just wish I went with 14 and not 12's in mine. Glad u got ur together and ur gonna live the ride.
