Default Backrest for a 2011 Limited

In the market for a backrest for my 2011 Ultra Limited. Any opinions? I have the factory seat and am curious to know of any problems with the adjustable back.

Thanks.

The PDF does not show a good shot of how it mounts with the air deflectors.

I have 2011 Limited, had the dealer install backrest the day I bought it. Works great. It is adjustable with turn of an alan wrench, which brings it more forward or back. I recommend it.

I tried the HD adjustable backrest (with a hammock seat, 2010 Limited) and found the mechanism just too bulky for my preferences (it made me sit forward a bit from my preferred spot). I now have the Mustang backrest and love it. It is adjustable via sliding up and down in the bracket and a thumbscrew forward and back. Adjusting it is not as easy as the "gas piston" charged mechanism of the HD backrest but it just fits better for me and leaves more room for the passenger.

the adjustable ( with cable adjuster/lever), mounts to the air deflectors, you cut a hole and it pops in.

pretty tidy.

the other style is adjusted to how you want it ( up/down/forward aft) on install and you just pop it in the day off ride, you squeeze the tangs and it pulls right out, push back in to install, there are a couple of height positions available
no on the go adjustment

Had the non-adjustable backrest on the bike, worked well. Took it off and changed to the adjustable when I got a good deal on the adjustable backrest, like it better.

Lets me change the backrest position between winter/summer jackets, gives the option of changing backrest position easily while on a ride.

My recommendation: go with an adjustable backrest.

My vote goes to the adjustable HD back. Have had it on all my past bikes and really like it.
