I like harleys heavy breather for the air filter when doing a stage 1, its kinda pricey and there are a lot of cheaper options. Its all depends on how much you wanna spend. Good luck.

I went with the 4" mufflers based on their looks. The 4" covers up that space from the bottom of the bag and swingarm which looks awful on FLHRCI bikes. I also lowered the rear 1" with some FLHX shocks. Now the bikes rear looks good.

Ok here's the deal-

Ordered the 4" Rineharts- $495.00 shipped from Kustom Emporium on eBay
I'm going with Power Duals and an AC set-up from Fuel Moto

My final question is tuning- what is the simplest way to tune the bike?
Will Fuel Moto provide me with a pre-mapped device perfect for this set-up being that it is fairly common?

Please advise.

In short, yes. For your 2011 you can do the PCV which piggy backs on your ECM and stays installed on the bike. Fuel Moto will download a map tuned to your specs to the PCV before they send it to you. You literally will simply unplug the stock wire harness from the ECM and insert the pre-programmed PCV. It can't be much easier.

Thanks everyone!

This is a GREAT forum....I'm so excited to start the next chapter of my motorcycling life on one of these iconic machines....Now I've got a great forum and a great plan for the air intake/exhaust........

See you all around....

I'm gonna ride it with the 4" Rineharts this season and compile the rest of the goodies over the next year.....nice winter project for 2012/13 winter.

Loving this thing and I have not spun a mile as I purchased on 1/28 and live in NEPA.

Default 3.5" to 4" Swap - Tune needed??

I currently have True-Dual set-up with 3.5" on my '07 FLHX with Stage 1 kit (HD Heavy Breather & PC 5). I want to swap out to the 4" mufflers... anyone know if I will have to re-tune??

Thanks in advance for anyone's assistance!

I have the 4" on mine and love them. I get a lot of complements on the looks and sound of them. IMO these Rinehart 4" are the best sounding slip-ons I've owned.
