Just salesman lie. You were sold a bill of goods! If you had it in writing go demand those Samsons.

I didn't like the sound of punch-outs. Thus the purchase of Silver bullets (nice rumble, loud when you get on them)

There are tons of aftermarkets. I liked the Samson! Not a (visual) youtube of mine after installing them but you get feel of how these sound on the road! Take a look if your interested. About 3:00 in i'll open them up. 5:00 in I'm on the hyw doing 80 mph+

I have a friend who knocked out the baffles on both of his bikes and is satisfied with sound and performance. One of his bikes had the most power on the dyno that his dealer tested two years ago. That bike will lay rubber any time.

Worst case is you dont like them. List them on Ebay when Spring breaks and you'll likely get your money back and maybe more.

As another poster suggested, let us know how they sound and some pics of the baffles would be nice to see.

Fixed that And thanks. It was impossible to find silver bullets on youtube 4 years ago, so I upped mine for folks looking at deciding on Samson.

Really do tell us or better yet post a vid when you got them installed. My punched-outs sounded "boaty"(underwater exhaust sounding) thu that was 1986 style muffler. Yours may sound great? Anyone looking at punch-outs has your thread for reference.

here is a video of mine.. granted its in my garage with the door shut but its loud and sounds just as good as any slip on i've heard.

I cut the stock baffles out and welded in a 3" peice of 2 1/8" exhaust tubing and drilled a bunch of holes in it.

Mine was gutted fully. 3" opening that maybe for why I did Samson! Hated the Blub, Blub. Blub. Yours sound loud but in tune. Is that a stock OEM muffler?

I'll add my dirty pic. The unique shape of these Samsons had me want them even more. No one in the Midwest has of yet produced them... I like that!
