Default Expensive mistake! Never believe a sales guy. I'm a dumbass.....

Well, I just made a VERY expensive mistake. HUGE mistake. I also learned a very valuable lesson. NEVER believe what a sales guy tells you, period. I thought I already knew this lesson, but I guess not. At least when the mistake is to my advantage that is, even though I didn't know it at the time.

So when I was buying my 06 RKC the sales guy stated that it was stock. So, being "naive" I believed him. Come last week I finally saved enough to get a Stage 1 setup from FuelMoto. A FM breather kit, PC111 and a set of Supertrapp SE slip ons. They arrived on Friday.

So last night I took apart the air intake and found out I had an Arlen Ness Big Breather setup already on the bike. Today I took off the side cover and found a PC111 already installed and upon further investigation determined the mufflers are Khrome Werks 3" HP 100 slip ons with the outer heat shields.

Sooooooo, it would seem I am now the proud owner of 2 Stage 1 kits.

I did a little digging today and it would seem that the FM and Arlen Ness air element doesn't matter to the mapping on the new PC111 setup. I could return the FM air element, but they don't take returns on the PC111 or slip ons. With that said, I may as well decide which ones I like better and sell off the ones I don't

If you had the choice, which would you run? The Khrome Werks or Supertrapp SE slip ons?

Supertrapp for sure but if you could exchange them for the Fuelmoto Jackpots I would go for it.

Maybe the salesman was told that it was stock and didn't know any better.

Could be. Of course I was pretty stupid not checking before I ordered.

Not to bash you, but the air cleaner should have been obvious.

we all live and learn..to answer your question, I'm thinking the Supertrapp SE slip ons would be my choice of the two
