Actually, not really. It had the stock Road King air filter cover on it. Looked stock to me at the time.

i kinda wonder if my previously enjoyed FLHRC has had any engine mods ect i don't know about . the sales guy said it was stock except after market handle bars and V&H duals . but as soon as i took the aircleaner cover off i saw it had a SE stage one air cleaner with a K&N filtor . i also found the disk and a plug in thingy for a SERT in the sadle bags not sure if thats on the bike or not. i rode a shovel for 30 years just learning about Electronic fuel managment.

Classic case of opening the wallet before the brain was in gear.
Don't feel bad, we have all done it at some point.
At least you should get a good part of your money back if you don't use it first.

I would go barking at the Store Manager and tell him that one of his salesman had lied. Expect some favor returned by negotiation. If he/she flat out refuse then just warn that their reputation will be ruined.

My dad traded his XL883C to a local dealer, had a "1200" air cleaner cover. The next day it was listed on that dealer's website as a 1200... You kinda need to know a thing or two to even think of buying a used bike from a dealer. Get everything in writing.

I know it's the weekend and all, but maybe if you call Fuel Moto they might just work with you. That is if you haven't already started installing their stuff. Everything you read about Fuel Moto on this forum is positive. I'd give them a call Monday morning and explain your situation and see what they say. Who knows, your wallet could be refilled and your feeling of dumbass relieved :-)

bingo. did you not look at the bike before buying it? and by look, i mean pull the dip sticks, the covers, the seat, whatever. buying a used bike can be a great deal, but you have to know what you're doing

Not surprising at all. A lot of those HD salesmen know very little about the bikes they sell.

If it doesnt matter to you, sell the new stuff, on this forum or on eBay. Easier to sell new. Just a thought.
