i paid $35 each (they had them in stock) & for the part numbers ill have to get the boxes out of the attic, i tossed them up there out of the way.
ill get them later today for ya.
im still working what im going to do to space off the fosgate speakers so i can run the grill that come with the speakers. probably just 1/2" spacers.

Do you also have to drill holes in the speaker boxes or use one of the holes already in the speaker boxes?

I also drilled holes in the speaker boxes for the speaker wires.

However, if you follow the directions in the HD kit referenced in the link in the original post in this thread, the speaker boxes already have a hole provided you drill the fairing lower to accommodate the speaker box's hole location--see page 6 of the instructions:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US...ts/-J05408.pdf

Good luck with the project.

I have the matching BBP lowers, and have the CVO speaker pods already painted to match. The paint will be fine. I won't finish this little project until spring, as I'm about to pull the trigger on bars, color matched fairing, chrome controls, etc. I plan to install the Biketronics 4180 amp, and Hertz speakers. IMHO-aesthetically, and sound wise, this is hard to beat. The painted pods look so much better than most of the alternatives offered by the aftermarket. Maybe I'm just an **** retentive SOB...( I am ). I say do it right (professionally) or not at all... My .02...
