Default How do you line up bags

I had the bike painted and added stretched bags and fender cover. How do you line them up. any tricks? Looks like I have to bring the tops in a bit. One side looks a bit high. But I am sure that's an easy adjustment.

Looks like the right hand bag is not seated properly, take the bag off and use a little liquid soap in the rubber grommet grove to see if it will push down farther on the rail, as far as the gap at the tops that is how they are made so they dont rub!!!

Yes sir, Those are the Top Shop fender overlay and Bags. The bags came perfect. OEM lids. The overlay..Ehh needed some skimming and a lil work to make it right. Body Shop guy said what a lot of people said on site about them. They are garbage and wouldn't recommend them. he did say after it looked awesome. But my take on it was, From a body guys stand point he didn't like them.

Have to watch that you don't get the top too close. The rear latches can rub the fender from vibration if there isn't enough clearance. May shim the front top mount out to bring the rear a little closer. I had to open up the rail mounting holes in the lower rear to move the rails out to get the bottom of my bags to set right. Had to do a little grinding on the lower rubber mounts as well. But I only paid $300 for the bags and fender so I expected some adjustments would be necessary and fitted everything before paint.

Well its still at Shop till I pick it up in a few weeks. But I was thinking about taking a dremel to the rubber grommet if that's the issue.

As for the bags and fender I would think no matter how pricey they are. You have to make some adjustments for fitting

But thx for help
