Default Fuel Moto Pro Billet Stage I A/C: Need Your Feedback

Well, for us North People, Spring is just around the corner. That said, I need to start thinking about my Stage I upgrade.

My course of action includes: Fuel Moto Jackpot Dyno-Tuned Mufflers, NightRider FL-XiED-10 kit and Fuel Moto Pro Billet A/C.

Has anyone installed the Fuel Moto Pro Billet Stage I A/C? If so, I would appreciate your feedback regarding installation, performance and fitment.

How do you like the new setup? Does the added height of the filter interfere with your right leg? Does the filter element come pre-oiled? How is it maintained?

Thanks for your help, guys.

Fitment is perfect. Filter does not interfere with my right leg, but I do have the HarleyGoodies floorboard extensions installed. The K&N filter I had on previous bikes turns white after you wash it, you then spray the filter pleats with the K&N oil, which is red. The Fuel Moto filter I bought is red, so I assume it shipped pre-oiled. Wash it, dry it, oil it. Since you're buying a large package from Fuel Moto, you might want to look at the Power Vision Tuner, but it's your dime.

Top notch A/C, take a look at the Power Vision. At least seriously consider their Power Commander 5 !

I installed the Fuel Moto A/C yesterday. The fit is excellent and the install was nice and easy with good directions included. They recommend some low-strength Loctite to use on the bolts when installing.

I do not have the floorboard extensions yet, but I had no issues with hitting or rubbing the A/C.

To clean, Fuel Moto recommends spraying on a cleaning solution, let dry, then use Filter Oil on each pleat.

I changed pipes and retuned with the Power Vision tuner so I can't elaborate on performance upgrade from the A/C alone.

Hope this information helps.

just ordered one yesterday with a powervision, they are running a deal with the PV and billet A/C for $549. The A/C's backing plate is now black anodized as well....

I can't speak for the performance as of yet, as we are under a foot of snow, but I installed it the other day. I am very happy so far. The install is very simple. Fuel Moto has a thread with step by step directions, with pictures, on this forum. You really couldn't ask for it to be simpler. The fitment was perfect, and no problems with the leg for me with stock floorboards. Can't wait to get the rest of the exhaust together and get the chance to get on her!

I installed the pro billet on my 09 FLHX. It fits great. It's tucked out of the way and no interference with my leg. The best part of this setup is it makes it very easy to run the vents to the ground. No more oil drip from the filter.

Installation was quick and easy. Can't say enough about Fuel Moto products! Everything they produce is well thought out!
