See, yours has that trim ring. You're right. It does look good.
I've looked at dozens of pictures on ALL the galleries for the
different brands. Some tilt way forward, some don't. There has
got to be some adjustment (slots in those brackets?)
I've seen a couple Roadkings with the fairing and a tourpack.
I had to look twice to see it wasn't an E/Glide.
That's probl the ultimate set up. On-Off with those goodies.

I had a Memphis Shades batwing and it is adjustable up and down in height and forward lean. It is a great fairing for the money. This is a picture of it with a tour pac last year before my winter mods.

I have the 6 X 9 Reckless fairing on my Road King.

I did alter the brackets a little to get the fit I wanted. It tilted a little too far forward so I just redrilled the mounts. No big deal.

Now it looks OK to me. I like it.

Build your own with factory parts. My looks about as stock as you can get!

It is a bit of a project, but it looks like it belongs.

When I was shopping for mine I had a good conversation with Glenn (woodys fairings) and he explained why some are tilted forward. Quick version is for handling because of different forks/rake on bikes (softail vs. touring) and how the air needs to flow around. Either "push" or more "aerodynamic". Talked to a few cops that ride and they all confirmed what he had said. I would highly recommend anyone that is considering a fairing at least talk to Glenn.

I had a Hoppe Industries, Quadzilla on my Softail for many years and loved it. They are a bit heavy on the price but come with the radio and speakers. Anyway, I still have the fairing with a new radio in it, for $800, if anyone is interested.

I like it a lot!!!

I thought I might take it on and off....Its not come off since the install. Love the radio and if I ever want to take it off, its off in minutes.

I did redrill the holes where the fairing bolts to the brackets. It looked OK but I just wanted it to fit a little tighter to the headlight, and tilt a little more to the rear.

If I remember correctly I redrilled the lower holes 3/4 inch down, and the top holes 3/4 inch down and 1/2 inch to the rear. Please don't use these measurements as your will probably be different.

Reckless painted mine and did a super job. It is very slick and looks just like the Harley paint.

I would buy it again, I am very plesed with it.

Oh yeah, no vibration. It is very solidly mounted.
