I have had a LSR 2>1 w/ 45 degree turn out for the last 4 years. The pipe sounds & performs excellent. I ride very hard and have had no problems w/ scraping the pipe. My only complaint is the black ceramic has flaked/burnt off twice. This year will be the 3rd time coating this pipe.

Went from a D&D to this LSR 2-1 and although I haven't put more then 50 miles on it, I have no complaints. Fit,finish, performance and sound all first rate

Thank you for all of your replies/insights guys, it is greatly appreciated! I love the looks of these LSR pipes on your bikes! I think I will talk to rb racing and get their opinion on a few things and I will report what they say. I have heard that their chrome is second to none, but the black that I'm interested in doesn't hold up... Which it didn't hold up on my d&d either....

Well after a very nice conversation with a gentleman at RB Racing, I ordered the pro-stock version. He says that the LSR-style, even with the 2" primaries, will restrict power in the higher rpm range of a motor pushing over 135hp. The 3" baffle in the LSR version has louvers that are bent inward and he said at high flow it acts more like a 1 3/4" - 2" straight pipe. He was even able to give me a ball park on what I would be losing in the 1/8 mile runs....

Very nice people to talk to and have assured my previous assumtion that these guys know their chit! I will post pics and sounds when this project gets done.... not soon enough!

Thanks again!

Cool, but when you asked the question on here you were NOT asking about full wfo hp, you were asking about best of both worlds to include sound levels and listening to a stereo. If you had just asked "What will give my 124" the best performance?" that would have been an easier question to answer.

definitly noted..... I do want the best of both worlds! I do realize a more precise wording would have been best of both worlds without an extreme sacrifice of one or the other.

The guy said the LSR would SEVERELY choke my motor that I am spending all kinds of money on, lol. I mentioned that I want to be able to hear when I'm older and he suggested the original pro-stock version as opposed to the 124 challenge pipe which has an 8" longer tail section which he says helps with the noise... being the opening is under/behind the bags....

He did suggest a quieter version would be the pro-stock spyder, but a little more money..... If this turns out to be a tympanic membrane buster, I'll be ordering another pipe next year.

I can tell you that the exhaust will give the intended outcome on performance. I can tell you though , there will be no listening to a stereo but on a positive note you won't be able to hear a passenger either, lol!!!! As you can see my exhaust is 5" longer and baffled and I can't hear the stereo ever while in motion.

The inability to hear the passenger might be a little unexpected bonus! lol...

I actually had difficulty hearing my stereo at freeway speeds already with the D&D I had. I have the dead center fairing with amp and polk speakers.... just not loud enough. I guess thats what MX and rock and roll does to the old ear drums. hahaha!
