I just did a followup phone call to the West-side Chicago H-D dealer to check on some accessories I've had on order for 8 weeks and found out they are closed.

A lot of you guys probably already knew that didn't you?

I have no idea what street it on. I've been ordering accessories from them for a few years. When I call, Steve from the other dealership Harley parts department answered the phone and said that Doug and Rick that I use to talk to was no long with Chicago Harley and that the West-side dealership was closed. He may have meant that only the internet ordering department has been closed.

 

They had three....

Downtown on Michigan Ave.
West of downtown, just a little north on Western
and
Way north up on Willow Rd.

 

I heard there was supposed to be three dealers in the area going down. honstly didnt think it would be one of the chicago dealers. i always thought it would have been schrefflers. Still cant believe oak Lawn is gone

 

Yea I figured Schrefflers would fall but no...... Oak Lawn still lives...... Kinda...... Still waiting for the Countryside Mega store i've been hearing about. I ran into Jim Plotke, a sales guy from Oak Lawn at Wildfire. I bought my 2011 Limited from him...... but he has moved on to Conrads. Hard to keep up with these guys........

Still waiting to see if it was Wildfire who bought Pierce's in Dekalb.

 

Wow, another one? My brother-inlaw told me the one in Crete closed last year.

 

Pierce HD in DeKalb is closing too...

 

Must be the one on Western Avenue. I see Chicago HD no longer lists that location on it's website. They also had a BMW dealership there, which is closed as well.

 

I have heard someone big bought them but I don't know who.......
