I'm not expecting to get near that on my bias ply on the new FLHR. I ride solo.
it really depends on the size you need. some sizes don't come in radial, and others don't come in bias. i can say that the elite 3 that i had on my 07 were bias and they wore great. i traded the bike in with 20k on the tires and they had plenty of tread life left. i can also say that on my 2010 with the new compound, the only reason i got new tires at 20k was because i was getting ready to go on a long road trip and didn't want to have to worry about tires on the road.

also, those of us with the 18'' front wheel don't really have that many choices right now.

I bought the elite 3 in the correct 18 front size bias, but I don't see the 180 rear in anything elite 3 except radial?

Not 100% sure, but I don't think there is a radial version of that tire for your bike, at least not the rear tire. I'm running the 160 80-16 on my 07 Road King, it fits with zero modifications needed to the belt guard or anything else.

Front MT90B16. Rear MU90B16. Radials are not available in your size. I have them on my 04 Road King and although I don't have very many miles on them yet, I really like them. Bike handles noticeably better vs the 402s.

the american elite comes in 180/60 or 180/70. either a hair taller or a hair shorter, however, when i spoke to the dunlop rep, he didn't recommend mixing the elite 3 bias with the american elite bias. mostly because the elite 3 has a lower load rating than the oem tire.

we need more options. we don't have many choices right now. and the tire that comes stock on our bikes is only available through the dealer. i replaced both front and back on my bike a few months ago before a road trip and it ended up costing me $650 happened to be about 2 weeks after they cancelled the $1.00 per tire install special.

I might just stick a stock 407 back on the rear, not sure I want to put a radial elite 3 on the rear with a bias in the front. Although for the life of me with just two wheels I can't possible see what could go wrong?
