Thanks for all the posts. Like I said I've been reading and just get more confused. I am a little concerned with the Progressive shcocks given that people are posting wnating to get rid of them. I guess I'll have to call Howard and talk and keep doing some research...

To answer Qtrracer: I do want the bike a tad lower but I do want a good ride quality. Adjustability is a desire since I do both solo and 2up riding. Price??? As inexpensive as I can get to get what I want.

I tried the Works Air Tracker shocks on my 08 SG.
Stay very far away from that product. Works has a great reputation, but it is unbelievable that they would allow this on market. It rides like a hard tail. You try to adjust with air and you touch the valve and all air comes out. You can NOT modulate these things....at all...
I now have the Progressive 940 or 944 ultra touring. WOW! now this is a nice shock. Easy to adjust with no tools, just your hand. Ride quality is really nice. I know it's a lot of information to digest....but what ever you do...stay away from the Works Air Tracker.

Tem2169, I know exactly what you mean by being confused. Been there, thats the reason I have the Progressive 440's to begin with. They are great shocks just not the type of ride I am looking for. Everyone has their own personal preferences and their own expectations on how they want their bike to ride and handle, unfortunately, you don't know what you will like til you try them. If I can help with more info. let me know!!

Every brand under the sun gets a mention, but only one stands out, often after the owner has tried several others. Now you can go the same route and try several different shocks, or take the short-cut straight to Ohlins. It really is up to you!
Yuuupp!! My Ohlins will be here Tuesday!!!
