Default remove radio faceplate

Going to paint the inner fairing on my 09 SG. Got it off with the help of a killer post from bubbas1 (Thank you!). Now I'm looking for ideas for removing the chrome radio faceplate. A member suggested using heat to soften the glue, which I have not yet tried. Any other suggestions?

Radio faceplate or radio trim piece on the inner fairing? Assuming you are talking about the trim on the inner fairing, heat it up and tug on it gently. Worked for me.

Sorry, meant trim piece on fairing. Heat and tug worked. Thanks.
