I'm interested in an 8" windvest shield for my Roadglide Custom and was hoping for some opinions. I know this is no alternative to a full size windshield and im used to a fatboy with no wind protection at all. I like the looks of a short windshield and would just like to hear the radio a little better. Yes, Ive already upgraded speakers. Thanks for your input.

 

I run a 10" WV , it looks good and gives good protection , not sure about 8"

 

I run the 8" black on my 2010. It works fine for me. Hear just fine w/ half or full face helmet. I'm height challenged (5'7"), so I don't sit too high over it. It was definitely an improvement over the 6" stock.

 

i have the 8 inch wv and apes im 6 ft and have no problems with it

 

The key is really between your overall height and inseam.
@ 5'10 with a 30" inseam the 8" was a tad too short for me, the 10" was just about a perfect combo between wind protection and styling for me.
