What size is the fork cap nut?

1 3/8".....there should be a wrench in the tool pouch that you can use.

The 36mm wrench in the tool kit is just a bit too big and can slip. Get yourself a 12" adjustable wrench, it should open enough to get in there. I believe it's closer to 35mm than 36mm.

Edit: I just looked it up and 1 3/8" is 34.9mm....close enough!
