I didn't do the speedo and tach, also I'm changing out the HK unit soon, so I didnt even worry about it. The LEDs I used were from Superbright LEDs but didn't cost $4 each, the number I see on the package is WLED-W-120 (194) wedge base, I'll see if I can't locate more info.

I went with the WLED-AHP5

The HP is for High power and they are brighter than the non HP version. A buck or two more each. The A is the color, in this case Amber.

Steel, yeah saw those, they didnt have a natural white in that style. they are $4.95 a piece, a buck more. the WLED X5 are plenty bright, they have 5 individual led's. Marty the guy that does the speedo, tach and hk faceplate was referring many to the x5, I'd like to see a side by side comparison to see the difference.

I did the same upgrade to my 4 small guages. Used the superbrightleds WLED-xHP5 and used the red LED's. They are 10-20% brighter than the WLED-x5 and the Red matches the color of the radio faceplate. I originally installed the WLED-x5 but they were'nt as bright as I expected so installed the WLED-xHP5's instead. Here's what they look like. It's not as bright as the picture is making it out to be but way better than stock.

What's the reason for not doing the speedo and tach?

Many don't do the speedo and the tach as they must be sent out for conversion. The 4 small gauges can be done yourself using 4 bulbs from superbrightleds.com

All I can say it that is what the Limited's gauages should look like from the factory! I will be ordering 4 bulbs this week!

Thanks for the info!
