Default Inner fairing $$

Was thinking of selling stock 08 street glide inner fairing and getting a painted one from HD, anyone know what a used fairing is worth?

I sold mine on here in the classifeds for $100 plus shipping.
I used the box the painted fairing came in to ship it.
I usually price things cheap and it sold really quick.

I paid $85 for my take off inner fairing. It was local so no shipping involved which certainly can lower a price.

$100.00 is about average for a stock unpainted inner!

The going rate seems to be between $100 and $150. I sold mine in the forum classifieds. The thing to remember is if using the Harley box shipping is about $50. When I shipped mine from South Texas to someone up north near the Canadian border the cheapest way I found for shipping was Fedex Ground. If you can get it into a smaller box, then the Postal Service would be cheaper.

Gonna change it yourself? I found a guy down here in Florida who takes your fairing and exchanges it for a painted one. Will have to go back and check the price. Maybe $250? Not sure. He installed mine, too - which was great. One of the best mods I've done.

Here's the page from the HD catalog - looks like $549.00 is the average price for the fairing itself. Good HD mechanic should be able to swap this out in less than 3 hours.

Local shops or DIY will be lower cost.
