The pipes are worth the wait as far as I'm concerned.

If you don't want to wait, that's cool... it's your prerogative, time and dollar.
If its the ceramic coated holding things up, then it's good business for Fuelmoto to find another coater. It can't be just the coater because I was told their is a waiting list for the uncoated stainless pipes and another wait for the carbon fiber mufflers.

Tomorrow will be three weeks since I've ordered. Keith told me there was a two week wait. Not complaining yet, as my experience with them so far has been pleasant and the JP 4" mufflers and AC/Cover I received the day after I ordered put a huge smile on my face. But I am beginning to wonder how long my wait is going to be. It seems to me they are a pretty small company, but are beginning to get a huge reputation. From everything I've read on this forum, Jamie is a pretty popular guy. His name, and the Fuel Moto name have an amazing reputation here. I hear their name mentioned outside this forum now, and I never used to. Maybe their having a little more success than they were prepared for, and it's causing the delays. If that's the case, I can exercise some patients as they work through their kinks, as long as they hold true to their reputation. As for now, I'm doing my best to be patient!

We are not hiding the reasons why our head pipes are backordered, and while a few may have posted about them not being in stock or the wait time we are actually continually shipping a huge quantity of pipes, we simply get backed up at times. Our stainless steel head pipes are extremely complex to build as every single pipe is hand built. This means every joint of our CNC formed tubing is sculpted and tig welded by hand by a craftsman and master fabricator, not a machine. Building more of them is not as simple as hiring more guys, these pipes are the absolute highest quality and it simply takes extra time to make the best. We are a small company that sells a ton of pipes and we are simply not willing to sacrifice quality for sales volume. The same goes for the ceramic coating, the coating company is best we could find anywhere and we will not accept any shortcuts. Another consideration for the ceramics is we also need to ship pipes to and from the coater which takes extra time. I hope this info help and if any has any questions they are welcome to contact me at 877-729-4754

I have plans on purchasing a stage 1 system from FM, and am curious as to how backlogged Jamie and his team will get as their popularity continues to explode.

You were right at the cutoff from the last production run and we are finishing up a big run of ceramic pipes and as noted the coating should be finished up "any day" and we will get your pipe on the way

Great Response Jamie,

You just convinced me to order and wait it out. I love a company that won't sacrifice quality for the almighty dollar. Not many good American companies left that will do that. I will be calling in my order ASAP to get on the list.

Jamie, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to look this up and respond. I just received the email for the tracking number. I assure you I am a happy customer so far. I couldn't be happier with the looks and quality of the mufflers and AC/Cover, and can't wait to get the head pipe. I can appreciate the fact that quality takes time and you have no desire to cut corners. That commitment is why you have such an amazing reputation, and that's hard to do around all these "biker types". As for now, I'm heading to the garage to take a stock exhaust and AC off a bike.....and I hope to not have to bug you, and can report a successful job and a satisfied customer. We'll have to talk cams in the future!!

I meant no disrespect, Jamie. I was just letting the OP know that the wait was going a little on the long side.
