I'm done, no more large spending. I set my bikes up and I leave them alone until I trade or sell.

Cool Waiting Game

FYI, I ordered my ceramic head pipe at the end of November and still no pipe. I am being told "any day now".

Why is fuel moto pipes on back order? If I am ready to buy, I don't want to wait for 3 months. My Indy ordered pipes and mufflers for me, will have them in a few days. They will be installed with Arlen Ness Big Sucker, and PCV, tuned and ready for me on Saturday

Yeah, I don't understand it either. They supposedly make their own pipes and if they are that far behind HIRE MORE PE0PLE. I love fuel Moto for their customer service. Have ordered from them in the past. Right now I had my heart set on a fuel Moto head pipe and carbon fiber mufflers for my wife's 11 FLHX but a three month wait ? I might talk myself into something else if I have to wait that long.

A year ago, it was an 8-10 week backorder so it must be a made to order setup.

Almost like a rite of passage or somethin'?

First they wanna be talked/sold into buyin' what ever it is that they want to get.
Then they tell us that they ordered it.
Then sometimes when it comes in.
Interesting..
...and it's amazing that people keep reading them!

Fuel Moto makes a good pipe. Their service and reputation is top shelf and I've always gotten good support from them, but an 8 to 10 week wait for a pipe is out of the question. They've lost the last two pipe orders from me because they couldn't step up and ship in a few days. It's a shame 'cause I would have liked to run their pipe but two and a half months? Really?

It's the ceramic coater that's the hold up with the pipes! Not the Fuel Moto manufacturing.

I waited about twelve weeks/three months and it was because of the ceramic coater I was told.

The pipes are worth the wait as far as I'm concerned.

If you don't want to wait, that's cool... it's your prerogative, time and dollar.
