Default Road King with whitewalls

I am considering changing to whitewalls but my Roadking has the black 8 spoke mag wheels and not sure how it will look.

All the RK's I have seen with WW's have spoke wheels. Has anybody got any pics to give me an idea how they would look.

My RK:

I'm by no means any kind of expert, but I just don't think it would look right. WW's are for that Classic look of the 50's and only spokes were available then. Your bike looks good like it is and I love the handlebars. JMO

I had cast wheels on my 1995 Roadking, and it looked good with wide whitewalls. Not quite as good as it would have looked with the wires, but it still added to the look.

If you get the WWW's, be sure and go to the store and get magic pads. Can't think of the real name right now, but they are from Mr. Clean. They are the only thing I found that kept the side walls really looking good.

You'll just have to maintain a 16" front wheel for there is no one (to my knowledge) that make a wide white wall other than for a 16". That being said I saw a RK that was wearing the harley 9 spoke chrome wheel with wide white walls and she looked just fine. Easier to clean and you'll never have to worry about getting the rims trued out again.

My RKC has chrome 9 spoke wheels with wide white walls and I get compliments on my bike wherever I go. I say go for it!

I believe the WWW tire itself has a wider sidewall than
the blackwall tire. Therefore the rim on a RK classic is
smaller than the rim on the standard RK. Don't quote me
but i think you would need a new front rim. Some mags look
OK with WWW but yould have to decide that. Spokes obviously
fit the bill and they now offer tubeless. Just for Ha Ha's jack
The bike up, and with a 2 1/2 or so brush paint a latex white
Wall (rotate tire) and see how she looks. Rinse off while still wet.
Im sure others will post pics but again, check to see if stock rim
Works. Nice Bike BTW

If I ever decide to go with tubeless tires, I'm going with the 9 spoke, chrome wheels to maintain a classic look. My opinion is that the wide whitewalls need the chrome wheel for that classic look more so than wire spokes, especially since the brake rotors practically cover up the spokes anyway.

I think it'll look good with the red. As others have said, spokes are probably a little better for that look, but it's still a new color. I think red and white are a pretty classic color combo.

IMHO WWW's need laced wheels. The other just don't look...right. You asked.

Also, "Therefore the rim on a RK classic is smaller than the rim on the standard RK." not true on an '07.
