Default 09 Street Glide won't start

Thanks again everyone

Hi everyone, I hope you can help. my bike has been in the garage charging for the past 3 months (winter). I started it up about a month ago and drove it up and down the street. I went to started and now all I get is clicking. Is this the starter and can I fix it ...... knowing that I am not that handy with tools.
Thanks

I would 1st check your battery charge (should be 12.6-12.8V w/meter on posts)...sounds like yours is dead, or charger took a dump...

hope it was on a tender and NOT A CHARGER,tender shut off and on when needed chargers can just keep charging till they fry your battery.

i have a 09 rg with the stock battery with 20k miles on it and never had a charger or tender hooked to it and its stored for the new england winter months and will start no problem. if its just a clicking noise its more than likely just the battery. hook a volt meter to the battery and try to start it. if it clicks and the voltage drops to next to nothing change the battery. if the voltage stays relatively steady or drops to about 10 volts when trying to crank and still just clicks, its a starter issue.

I'm replacing my battery too this year. Last time I started it, it acted weak at the onset but then fired up as normal, so I'm thinking that this is the first sign that it is going, so I'll be proactive and spend $100 bux and have a new one rather than be stranded out on the road or have to call a tow truck.. JMO..

My battery took a dump on me 2 months after the warranty was up. I'd check that first.
